The goal of 816 was to produce a competitive Electrathon race car while also designing something that looked unique. The students used a 1960’s Honda RA272 F1 car as their design inspiration. The car completed it’s first season of competition in 2019 and was designed by students from Guadalupe Centers High School.
816 recently won first in Standard Battery Class in October 2023 with Driver Jordi Martinez. This was the first electrathon car to bring home a first place trophy in MINDDRIVE history.
