1972 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Electric Conversion
This 72 Ghia was restored and converted electric by MINDDRIVE students and mentors back in 2014 thanks to the generous support of Steve Karbank and Karbank Properties. It includes a 96-volt battery pack with a 72-horsepower DC-Brushed electric motor. The range is between 80-100 miles depending on the type of driving and it moves a little faster then the original did with a top speed of 95 mph.
